In Middle Earth, a brave Hobbit named Frodo Baggins embarks on an epic quest to destroy the One Ring before it falls into the hands of the Dark Lord Sauron. A long journey throughout treacherous lands and along mysterious paths, also called The Fellowship of The Ring, awaits him as he fights evil forces from all sides to accomplish his task.In order to defeat evil, Frodo must face various forms of temptation and obstacles that threaten his destiny. Because every obstacle seems insurmountable at first glance, he is told he must have a true hero on his team: Aragorn, aka Strider. Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring travel to Rivendell, where they meet with Elrond and take inventory of what they have to fight Sauron. They also learn how the One Ring might be destroyed: by throwing it into the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor, where it was forged. But not everyone agrees with this plan; some believe that Sauron is still too powerful, and that only a strong leader can defeat him. This group sides with Aragorn, who is revealed to be Isildur's heir to the throne of Gondor. Frodo and his team leave Rivendell and arrive at Lothlórien, where they meet with Galadriel, the greatest of Elrond's sisters. She shows Frodo what life could have been like if she had married him in place of Aragorn, and gives him her magical gifts to help him on his journey. The team then travels through the crumbling ruins of Emyn Muil to get to the Dead Marshes. The Fellowship of the Ring meets Gollum for the first time in a cave where he lives. Frodo offers him the One Ring if he can show them to Mordor. Gollum tells them that he can lead them through the Dead Marshes, but will never leave. Frodo agrees, and the Fellowship travels to the marshes, where Frodo is trapped by a gigantic creature. The Fellowship of the Ring escapes this crisis through the help of Aragorn and his horse, which Aragorn is able to use even in his middle age. Aragorn is wounded when they are ambushed near Fangorn forest by two Nazgûl. Frodo is trapped by the monster in the Dead Marshes again, but Pippin saves him. Frodo and Sam take Gollum to Mordor for his own good, but he betrays them and steals the Ring back. After this, Gollum refuses to go any further with them, so Sam leaves him. Frodo sneaks into Mount Doom alone at night and throws the Ring into its fires. The Fellowship celebrates at Rivendell while Sauron's forces approach. Aragorn tells the others that they should continue their journey to Mordor before Sauron's army arrives, before leaving on his own to fight Sauron himself. cfa1e77820
